Going down under with the latest intimate care products

Give your intimate area the TLC it deserves with these feminine hygiene products and treatments for any stage of your life

The intimate care market has exploded over the past few years and there’s now a huge amount of choice when it comes to products.

But what are these products used for and most importantly, do we really need them? Personal care products are in fact used by men as well as women, and includes products for vaginal issues, lubricants, and other feminine hygiene treatments such as wipes.

It’s a fact that women are more prone to infections down there, and the use of feminine hygiene products can balance pH levels, help with vaginal discharge, infections, itchiness, and general discomfort which can be exacerbated in times of hormonal upheaval such as menopause.

According to Transparency Market Research, key factors driving the market include increasing awareness about personal care, improving lifestyles amongst the middle class income group, and changing consumer perception.

We've rounded up some products that we rate and recommend.

Dermamelan Vaginal Lightening

This intense depigmenting anti-ageing method for the intimate area works in a single session. The topical mask formula works to achieve a lasting result that avoids pigmentary rebound–it accelerates skin renewal and peeling, greatly lightening any existing spots and lessening the chance of new spots by controlling the overproduction of pigment. While there is no downtime, skin can be red and may feel hot afterwards, but the sensation is mild and only lasts a day or two. Minor peeling is also normal. Note: a daily at-home cream-gel treatment is key to obtaining the desired result.
