5 of the best CBD oils

What can CBD oil be used for? We explain the benefits and highlight our product essentials

CBD—or cannabidiol—has been thrust into our vernacular as the latest buzzword in wellness and a go-to skincare ingredient, prevalent in a host of new products.

Derived from cannabis, it is not to be confused with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the component renowned for causing a ‘high’. Instead, CBD is a non-psychoactive chemical compound also found in marijuana, which can be extracted and blended with a carrier oil for topical application.

Dermatologically speaking, CBD has anti-inflammatory and healing properties, which has led to its growing popularity as a valuable step in many peoples' skincare routines.

Claire Beswick, Therapist and Owner of Salon Bellissimo, has recently introduced Glo Anti-Stress CBD Drops to her practice—and patients are already seeing results. “My clients said they noticed a difference after only a few days and the results after two weeks have been amazing.”

Beswick recommends CDB oil as an aid to treating many common skin conditions including acne, dry skin and rosacea. "The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties of CBD make it ideal. I find it absolutely amazing for dry and sensitive, or irritated skin.”

This useful ingredient has even gained notoriety for easing symptoms of ‘maskne’—irritation and breakouts caused by wearing face coverings. Beswick says, “I can’t recommend CBD drops enough for people wearing masks for long periods of time—it massively helps to reduce irritation and can also be used as preventative measure thanks to its antibacterial properties.”
