What is chin filler?

Chin filler is essentially dermal filler injected into the chin. Most dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, but the density of the filler depends on how the HA particles are linked. Where exactly is it placed?

Is the procedure painful?

While everyone tolerates pain differently, the treatment isn’t considered painful at all. Plus, numbing cream is usually applied to the chin before injecting begins. People tend to feel a sharp scratch followed by a light pressure while the filler is injected.

What to expect post treatment?

Results are instantaneous and generally last around a year or more (depending on the filler used). There is no real downtime, but there may be swelling and bruising to contend with over the course of a week.  

Are there any risks?

Generally dermal filler treatments don’t pose many major risks, however lumps can form (which can be dissolved), and it's unlikely, but your blood vessels could be accidentally injected which can lead to skin death (necrosis).
