The under the radar products endorsed by aesthetics experts

You may or may not have heard of them, but these products are coveted by top practitioners and will complement your aesthetics treatment to a tee...

Just because you've never heard of it, doesn't mean it's not brilliant. In fact, some little known cult beauty products have legions of faithful fans. And quite frankly, if it's endorsed by our talented aesthetic experts, it's more than likely going to be making an appearance on our shopping lists.

Discover some of the underground products they're championing and why – you may even find a new favourite amongst their top picks...

The necks big thing

Revision Skincare is a Top 5 brand in USA used by medical care providers, and I have been personally using Revision Nectifirm Advanced, which is one of my favourite new products.

It combines eight powerful peptides as well as antioxidant technology to combat visible signs of ageing, as well as harnessing the power of the skins’ own microbiome to optimise results.

I have also been using Revision D·E·J Night Face Cream, an intensive moisturiser containing time-released 0.25% retinol that’s formulated to work while you sleep, along with bakuchiol, which boosts the effects while minimising the irritation of retinol.

It seems to soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles overnight, while balancing the skin’s microbiome with its prebiotic technology.

The pigmentation powerhouse

Cyspera has got to be one of the most underrated products on the market out there right now. It is a firm favourite for me and many of my clients.

This novel pigment corrector contains cysteamine, a powerful agent used to treat hyperpigmentation. It can be used to treat many skin concerns such as melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone and lentigenes (sun spots).

I love Cyspera because it is safe and a great alternative to hydroquinone. It is also highly versatile and can be used in many areas of the body (such as the underarms and lips), as well as being a great product to use for pre-and post clinic procedures, particularly for my clients with skin of colour.

Simply apply onto rested (unwashed) skin for 15 minutes daily and then cleanse. The intensive phase is 16 weeks, and then twice weekly application is required to maintain results.

The menopausal skin magician

Patients who are going through the menopause have very different skin requirements, and it’s so important to understand how the lack of oestrogen plays a part in this.

The reason we have Emepelle as part of our skin offering is because it’s unique – it is the only product that contains an ingredient called MEP technology, which essentially mimics the oestrogen activity that was going on in the patient’s skin prior to entering the menopause.

In a way, it ‘wakes up’ the oestrogen receptors in the skin to allow for increased hydration and collagen production. I don’t have anything else on my shelves that can do that.

It’s a very simple range – there’s just a serum in the morning and a really rich emollient cream at night. The serum is incredibly light and works very well after cleansing. The night cream is very rich and patients love it because the hydration provides relief to their dry, tired skin.

The no-needle lip lovers

I wanted to create products that would show off my clients’ lips – both those that have had lip fillers with me, but also those that may not be suitable or ready for the treatment.

I believe that if you have invested in lip filler, it is also worthwhile using quality products that will hydrate your lips and keep them in good health to really enhance and prolong the results.

The first product, Lip, is a hydrating complex that can be used straight after a lip filler treatment. It contains ingredients to keep the lips hydrated and prevent trans-epidermal water loss, and gives a lovely sheen.

Alternatively, Lip Plumper is designed to work on lips that do and don't have filler. It gives a subtle enhancement by increasing the blood flow to the lips, and also helps improve their condition.

The supplement superstars

We offer clients Skinade and Totally Derma neutraceutical supplements – both contain medical grade collagen and additional ingredients to support the skin. They are perfect on their own, but also provide a healthy skin-loving boost from within, working to stimulate the body and build additional collagen.

This not only helps skin health but is also beneficial to the hair, nails, and joints, with additional benefits for the gut and menopausal vaginal dryness.

Skinade is fab as a grab and go bottle – it is really good chilled and costs the same as a coffee, while Totally Derma is a real favourite for those who prefer breakfast smoothies; it can also be made into a shot with water, or mixed with yoghurt.
